Office Reopening for Routine Dental Visits

5/18/20

Dear Valued Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our committment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office.  Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable.  We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follow infection control recommendations made by the the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  We follow the activites of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.  We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies'  recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment.  We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.  For example:

 - Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions,  You will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

- We will ask you to call our office when you arrive and please remain in your car until we come and get you.  Please don't bring any extra people with you to your appointment unless it is absolutely necessary.

- We will have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.  You will also find some in other places in the office to use as needed.

- You will see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to cleaan and disinfect.

- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients,  That might mean that you're offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

- We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.  To make an appointment, please call our office at 678-653-8998.

Thank you for being our patient.  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

J. Keith Smith DMD and Staff

Lee Road Repaving Project

The much needed Lee Road repaving project is now complete.  It didn't take as long as expected and was completed in just under one week.  The Lee Road expansion from 2 lanes to 4 lanes may start in the summer of 2020 or 2021.  The long range plans include extending Lee Road past Highway 92 (Fairburn Rd) where it currently ends.  Eventually, it will connect to Bomar Road.

Lee Road Repaving Project

The much anticipated and needed repaving of Lee Road began on 6/7/19.  There may be some minor inconveniences in getting to our office over the estimated 3 weeks required to complete this project.  Please allow a little extra travel time and feel free to call to ask us status updates.  Thanks for your understanding.  We look forward to having a much better road to get to our office.

End of year 2016

As we turn our attention toward the end of 2016 and much cooler temperatures,  please remember that yearly dental benefits do not carry over from year to year with most plans.  Make your appointment today to maximize the use of your 2016 dental benefits.

The new multi-lane bridge for Lee Road at I-20 has been open for awhile now.  The four laning of Lee Road will be the next part of the project.  There will probably be some minor inconveniences but the final finished roadway project will make access to our office much easier.
